2016, part 3 of 5 - Supporting the October 28 characterization of the year 2016

From the October 28 essay "2016, part 1 of 4:"

Facts, patterns and circumstances yet to be provided in forthcoming essays suggest:

- a great natural disaster will occur in 2016, most likely in January, and, based on a perceived clue provided by Mr. Gann and the geologic character of the area, it will be located in or near San Francisco,

- partly the result the predicted earthquake, the nation and world economy will suffer and the stock market will be severely affected,

- world political distress will continue to the extent that there is a clearly recognized definition of the war between Islam and the nations of infidels, that either the Jews or Muslims will be exiled from Old Jerusalem, and that redefinitions of the relationship of many central governments and their constituent peoples will be redefined, and

- United States political distress will continue to the extent the country will be propelled either towards its current direction of increased government or reversed towards greater personal freedom.

As was the character of the world 168 years (one of 15 periods of the Great Week) prior to 2016 in 1848,  "revolution" is not to be considered "remote."

The above predictions are made based upon "facts, patterns and circumstances" and are not made based upon the mathematics and physics of the 4th dimension that I believe WD Gann encoded into "The Tunnel Thur the Air" and other of his works.  Rather, for the less able (me), he left heuristic devices, clues, apparent time cycles, acrostic and telestic hints that provide an 'alternate means' to understand future events.   I expect this 'alternate means' to be not remotely as granular as the exactness of his methods of mathematics and science.  [To support that conclusion I would invite the reader to reconsider the exactness found in the 6th and 7th Prophecies.]

That said, following are my observations and rational by which I characterized the year 2016 (mid 2015 to mid 2016):

- a great natural disaster will occur in 2016 -   Based on some fancy math I projected this event would occur between January 8 and January 28.  I should not get fancy.  There are only two proven things that bear upon this this prediction and they don't include my unproven math.  What has been proven to me is Mr. Gann could predict the future and he left us 1) the WD Gann Map of Time (MOT) and clues.

Quite simply, a great earthquake occurred 168 years ago measured from 2016 in Marlborough NZ and comparable date on the MOT would be February 23 or 24, 2016 based upon the MOT having a "right beginning" that of the summer solstice in 1932.  If the "right beginning" is July 4, 1932, the date of the final battle of TTTTA, then it will be two weeks different.

You sense my uncertainty as I intend.  Yes, the MOT is like a huge Rubik's Cube; you change one square and it affects 5 others.  I've spent hundreds of hours trying to perfect the order of the lines to align historic dates.  No, it isn't a matter of fiddling with the data to reach the desired result.  Simple printing rules (one line space after a paragraph break, one after a salutation, etc.) can only be stretched so far.  My 'fiddling,' at worst, causes date variances of a couple lines.

Here is the MOT lines that indicate the earthquake will occur on February 24, 2016:

On the left side you will see the date October 16, 1848, the date of the Marlborough earthquake and on the right you will find the date February 24, 2016, the predicted date.  If anything, the MOT will be wrong; but by a day or two because I am wrong in my rendition of the MOT and my imperfection in having not perfected it.  And I believe the February 24 date is wrong because of the nearness of another very important personal date.  February 21 is my birthdate.  I prefer to believe my rendition of the MOT is off a line and the date of the earthquake, should it occur, will be February 21, 2016.

I would invite you to read the narrative of that is associated with these dates...

Now, why do I think the earthquake will occur in San Francisco?  Its not in the MOT.  It is clues; the first historic event mentioned in TTTTA is the San Francisco earthquake...page 1, paragraph 1.  And it is the rear dust jacket:

The left spreadsheet is is snapshot of the MOT including the first paragraph of the MOT.  The middle picture is the Dome of the Rock which was damaged by an earthquake in August of 1016....1000 years ago.  Recall the 1000-year cycle is the only cycle of the many that Mr. Gann referred to as "great."  And the image on the right is the rear dust jacket of TTTTA.  You may note there, unlike the front dust jacket, there aren't any planes falling on the pictured city.  You might note the buildings appear as if they are on a hill, and they seem oddly tilted.  Maybe, maybe not.  That's what I see.  But we both see the dome, don't we?

If you Google "dome San Francisco image" you get:
There are 2 domes pictured above; the dome of the Palace of Fine Arts built for the 1915 San Francisco World's Fair (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) and the City of San Francisco dome of City Hall (middle images).

Do they look like the dome of the rear dust jacket?

How was I first led to the above?  It was a clue, or I perceived it a clue for the prediction has not occurred.  The clue was the number 110 derived from numbers associated with Mr. Gann's gravestone.  The upper die of the stone measures 30"X30"x8".  30 X 8 = 240.  Mr. and Mrs. Gann's combined life span was 77 years plus 53 years, respectively, or 130 years.  240 minus 130 is 110 and 110 years added to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake is 2016.  And we find 110 years between the first battle of the Revolutionary War in 1776 (the Battle of Brooklyn fought on and near Green-Wood Cemetery where Mr. Gann is buried) and the dedication of the Statue of Liberty in 1886.

Perhaps 110 is a valid clue Mr. Gann left, perhaps it is nothing.  We will know the answer in 2016.

-partly the result the predicted earthquake, the nation and world economy will suffer and the stock market will be severely affected-  This only makes common sense.  If we study the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the Dow had topped only a couple weeks before.  On the news of the earthquake, one would assume, the was a drop in the market but it wasn't exceedingly severe and recovered quickly.  Elliott wavers would say that was the waves A and B with the secondary top preceding a great decline into latter 1906 and 1907.  It was a big decline.

In 1906-07, there wasn't a fraction of the population in San Francisco then as opposed to now...and yet some 6,000 people perished.  There wasn't a fraction of the nation's domestic product being produced in the area.  But now, what proportion of the U.S.' highest gross margin products are being produced?  Wherein the gold rush of San Francisco, largely dissipated in 1906, was unlikely to have been damaged in 1906, what might occur should a major earthquake do to the intellectual product of the Silicone Valley....resulting from deaths of technology specialists and entrepreneurs, impairments of operating technology companies, and dislocations of both?

The City would suffer, but I'd expect the nation, stock market and world would suffer.

-world political distress will continue to the extent that there is a clearly recognized definition of the war between Islam and the nations of infidels, that either the Jews or Muslims will be exiled from Old Jerusalem, and that redefinitions of the relationship of many central governments and their constituent peoples will be redefined-  This prediction is largely based on the MOT; that this last year of this 168-year cycle, 2016 (mid 2015 to mid 2016) will reflect the same conditions as existed in 1848.  And turmoil reigned in Europe.  Three predictions; a clearer definition of war emerges, one party will be exiled from Old Jerusalem, and redefinition of the relationship between people and their government.  I will subdivide the discussion into 3 parts.

A new definition of "the" war.   In 1996 Osama Bin Laden declared holy war, Fatwa, against the United States (see HERE) and it didn't make a ripple in national thought.  In 2001, the national consciousness moved to the point that a small portion of the good and holy religion of Islam had been "hijacked" by "extremists."  To this day, the politically correct position remains one that Islam is not the enemy of all those other than of Islamic faith.  But that sentiment is changing.

I had to do some research to gain perspective on whether there is, largely, a war on non Islamic populations.  Round numbers from Wikipedia which are debatable; there are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world and somewhere between 23% and 83% (depending on the nation) of Muslims believe violence can never be justified.  What about those who accept violence as acceptable?  Between 2% and 8% of Muslims believe violence can be justified often.  Let's take the least unfavorable number that being 2% of Muslims believe violence is justified frequently and multiply it by the 1.5 billion number.  That's an 'army' of 30,000,000 ready to justify the use of violence freely.

My position is a war has been occurring but the national and international consciousness only now becoming aware; it is accelerating.  Mr. Gann might say, as time runs out, activity increases (of course he was speaking of volume and price, but allow me some leeway).  As this 168-year and other cycles end, events become more rapid.  This day, November 20, ISIS terrorists are executing guests at a hotel in Mali, November 13, 129 were murdered in Paris, October 31, 224 killed when a Russian plane was bombed.....  The list goes on and on.

And just since I wrote the above there has emerged another inching of the public consciousness towards a definition of the problem.  Certainly, the problem is as old as the crusades...certainly longer.  But the consciousness of the reality is way behind.  I expect the 'consciousness' to take a leap forward in the U.S. at least by virtue of the Presidential elections.

A new exile.  This prediction is made based first on the Biblical "Great Week" cycle.  The "Great Week" is 2520 years (7 periods of 360 years or 7 circles) and represents the rule of the gentiles over the Jews.  Thomas Troward explained the mathematics of the Great Week in his 1915 book "The Years 1914 to 1923 in Bible Prophecy - Scripture Prediction of the Present War."  [Incidentally, I would argue Mr. Troward predicted the end of the war in 1919 which did occur as memorialized in the Treaty of Versailles.]

2520 years can be applied by either solar years or by lunar years.  Mr. Troward does not use the 2600 year period as suggested.  However, on page 9 he notes that in 2520 solar years, lunar years would exceed solar years by '75.'  This occurs because there are 365 days in the solar year and 354 in the lunar year.  Mr. Troward rounded...if you use the exact number of days in the solar year of 365.242 days, you arrive at the 2600 lunar year equivalent, not 2520 + 75 = 2595 lunar equivalents.  Here are a couple of calculations with which I have previously struggled:

You can see my personal struggle to understand.  The complications; what is the correct mathematic interpretation of the "Great Week" and what is the 'bright line' year of "the Exile?"  Let's boil it down to this...regardless of the mathematics and regardless of the whether the Exile occurred in 583 or 586 B.C., 2015 and 2016 is close.

We can 'triangulate' the "Great Week" extrapolation; we have the ending of the 168-year cycle, a 1/15th component of the 2520 years (2520 / 168 =15).  If we count from the year 1 A.D. we are ending the 12th period of 15.  If we count from "the Exile" wherever it was in time, we are at the end of the 15th and final period of the "Great Week."

Is it surprising that Mr. Gann told us on page 82 of the "remarkable events" that would occur in the wake of the election of the 266th Pope (Pope Francis, elected 2013, is acclaimed the 266th Pope)?

A redefinition of the relationship between nations' people and their governments.  This comment is based on the 168-year cycle, the MOT and the events of the reflective year, 1848.

Counting back the 168 years to the history the MOT says will be repeated in 2016 brings us to the year 1848.  In that year of 1848 a 'wave' of revolutions swept many of the countries in Europe.  Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels had written and issued their "Communist Manifesto" and were actively involved in the promotion of the worker revolutions against the many European aristocracies.  The year 1848 is referred to variously as the "Year of Revolutions," the "Spring of Nations,".....

In the United States, there was a building of the nation.  The Mexican American War had recently ended and there was a massive acquisition of what is now the southwestern United States.  Under the Treaty of Guadalupe (February 2, 1848), the U.S. annexed Texas and agreed to purchase all property north of the Rio Grande.  [Some have proposed the seeds of the Civil War were sewn in 1848 as many of U.S. military considered it a shameless use of U.S. might for the purpose of annexation and the proposals to make the new territories slave states.]

In both Europe and the United States, the building of nations.  Redefinitions of peoples and their countries.  In Europe, from aristocracies to democracies.  In the U.S. a massive land acquisition which many military personnel believed to be a shameless use of war for the purpose of expansion.

What reflection, history repetition, might we see 168 years later in 2016?  [Again, 2016 stretches from mid 2015 to mid 2016 according to the MOT.]

Certainly, we are seeing turmoil in Europe with the increasing frequency of terrorist attacks.  Even without a recent attack in the U.S. there is increased anxiety likely to increase even without an attack at home.  We have the President downplaying the events and mocking his opponents for opposing Syrian immigration to the U.S. while presidential candidates contest that initiative.

Consider the changes in Europe since 1848...a dominant theme of a single Europe; no borders.  Similarly, a lack of border enforcement in the U.S.  It was the European Union, not the constituent states.

Then came the financial crisis in Europe that threatened the Euro, the membership of insolvent Greece in the union and the continuity of the EU itself.

And now its the refugee crisis.  In the wake of the Syrian migration to Europe, several countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Germany and others) have taken measures ranging from erecting fences to armed confrontation to stop the migration.  As recently as 3 days prior to this post, 32 states have declared they will not accept Syrian refugees being distributed to their state.  The House of Congress has followed up by passing an act prohibiting the unfitted acceptance of Syrian refugees with the Senate set to undertake the question and expected to pass the bill.  The only question is whether the Senate will make it a veto proof bill the President has otherwise declared he will veto.

Confrontation on the highest levels of society and government in 2016.

Where 1848 was a tumultuous building of nations involving revolution in Europe and war in the U.S., 2016, we might entertain the thought that 2016 will be a year of dissembling of nations.

*****

I am going to end the discussion here because it is both a bit long in the tooth and the next essay, 2016, part 4 of 4, will be different in an important respect.  In the "2016, part 4 of 4" I will treat the last two items of the five predictions I made in part 1 of 4 of this series on October 28.

The next essay will have political themes.  I've tried to keep my work on this blog apolitical ....politics are opinionated and emotional...uncivil.    But there isn't a way to treat comparative history without politics. Extrapolating the future based on the events of, in this case, 1848 cannot be done without referring to Marx and Engels, the workers revolutions, socialism and finding their likeness in 2016.  Those great themes of 1848 must, according to the MOT, have reflection in 2016 and I will be forced in providing my very biased, very conservative view.

So, you may wish to avoid what will be, undoubtedly inflammatory to some and music to the choir to the others.  Regrettably,

Jim Ross
