Is there a map in TTTTA?

I can perceive the analytical solution to Robert Gordon's 7 days, the greatest (IMO) of paradoxes in "The Tunnel Thru the Air."  But where there may be a purely logical solution to time and space, might there be a map for those more visually perceptive than mathematically perceptive?

I searched all of the acrostics and telestics of TTTTA and find the simple word "Map" only once.  Such a simple word, but only once?  I'd expect to see it many times.  Perhaps the understatement is a statement in itself.  I find "Map" appearing on lines 3732 to 3734 as an acrostic word:

Interestingly, the "a" of "Map" appears on line 3733 of TTTTA.  Hmmm, 37 and 33, two interesting numbers combining to form that line number.  Hmmm again, 37 / 33 = 1.12121212121212….

Above and below "Map" we find the telestic words "des" and "ten."  "Des" you say.  Yes, I find it many many times in TTTTA.  Its an acronym for "data encryption standard" which was the early basis of modern cryptography (1970 if I recall).  But TTTTA was written in 1927 so Gann couldn't have known about encryption of that level.  Really, how do you think the Tel-talk could exclude all other people from hearing the conversation?

So, draw triangle (black lines) using the d, a and n.  Then draw the implicit right triangles (red lines) and you can find the dimensions of the black triangle.   The black lines are close to a right triangle but not close enough (there is a 100 degree angle which should be 90 degrees).  So, I like the idea but I'm not sold by the triangles drawn.

On the other hand, the occurrences of the telestics of words comprised of e's…all 83 of them, or of t's, or of s's, or of a's….  their spacing in the perfect line structure of TTTTA (yesterday's post) -- well, just perhaps there is a 'map' of time cycles which comprise the meaning of Gann's phrase "…the curvature of time..."

  1. Jim,

I read all of your blog entries over Easter. I am not sure you have found any of Gann's cycles yet, but I do like your approach. Thank you for your efforts, I will continue reading with interest.

  2. Hi George,

Glad you're interested and thank you. No, I have not discovered any cycles as yet. When I started I was intent on finding Gann's cycles and making money; either by writing a book or in the market. Its now more trying to understand Gann and uncover his great knowledge. I know he could divine the future. What have I got to lose except my ignorance. And his book is an incredible puzzle; its just fun to figure out.

  3. If you want find cycles why not start with the number 7. There is lots of information on p7. Future Cycles is Ch7 and there is much to discover on p70 which starts with the words 'on future cycles'. The phrase 'law of vibration' is mentioned just once in the book, on p77

  4. I am sure there is much to be discovered on 70 and 77. 77 is where WDG says math is the only science. But the 'map' must start with a coordinate system and I believe that system 'starts' with the exact number of pages and lines in the book. The beginning is important and WDG gives several metrics that tell you when your beginning point is correct. Many people have used astro cycles to define 'cycles' and they are right. But I do not believe they are the most accurate of cycles…that math and geometry underly both astro cycles and market and historic cycles. Hence, astro correlates with the market but it is not the independent variable. Rather, the market and astro are co variants of the primary variable, math and geometry. So WDG gives you both. You can spends years studying the astro and become successful, working the infinite number of relations of planets (aspects, orbit speeds, declinations…) and your ultimate result would be some that work and most that don't. How well does it work out for the studious, hard working O.B. Joyful? A prediction that Marie will return in 2 or 3 years?
My approach is to get the beginning right and I am sure the beginning is the structure of the book as aforementioned. Then there are exact markers that tell me time and tell me metrics of price. But the map is still a reflection of the real laws of nature which are math relations; Pythagorean theorem, Pythagorean diatonic scale, and spatial coordinates (DesCartean or other). Together I believe they describe the four dimensions (X, Y, Z and T) as would the Lorenz Transformation more popularly followed in Einsteinian physics.
At least, that's what I believe at the moment. Things seem to change every day, but that's the way its been going.
Thanks for reading and considering….after all, Lord Bacon says we read not to fight, argue, disagree, but to consider.

  5. I think you are correct that numbers came before astro. I think he tinkered with planets later. His system was done in 1908 and there was no mention of the planets at that time in his writings. There are 7 (or 8) starting points in TTTA. One obvious one is May1792 and there is lots of info as you suggest on the forst 3 pages.
