WD Gann predicted the tops of 1929 and 1987; now, about October 13, 2017

The stock market introduced me to WD Gann and his "The Tunnel Thru the Air" in 1974 through a technical analysis course.  I'm way off the market path these days with Mr. Gann's more serious but not related contemplations, but never far from my thoughts are the possibility that I might find something related to the market.

Of course we know Mr. Gann predicted the July 8, 1932 bottom, as its symbolically the last battle (July 4) of the Great War in The Tunnel.  But did he predict other market tops and bottoms?

So, I picked the three most noteworthy crashes in history...or, at least, in my opinion.  Yeah, there was the Tech Wreck of 2000, the 10/11/2007 real estate credit melt down, the 2010 Flash Crash....  I picked out just three; 1929, 1987 and, well, hereabouts, 2017.  About 2017; I hear any number of market observers tell us the market is ready to decline.

1929. The 1929 bottom was discovered by others and I really do not find any encoded messages in the WD Gann "Map of Time" indicating the July 8, 1932 bottom.  How about the 9/3/1929 top?

"Saw top"

In red at the margin is the date 9/3/1929; a message in perfectly contiguous letters.  Mr. Gann often used "see" or "saw" to indicate his foresight of an event.  Pretty obvious I'd say.  Now I've shown he saw the 1929 top as well; at least two years in advance (TTTTA was published in 1927).

1987.  I can't figure out the 10/20/1987 crash bottom date, but the 1987 top is a complete walk-away prediction that came true.  You'll see the date 8/25/1987 in yellow and the message in red:

"A high"

I will not say "saw a high" because on line 5261 the "A" is not contiguous with the remainder of the letters.  But its a walk-away again.  8/25/1987 is highlighted in yellow on line  5265 and "a high" is highlighted in red.  All contiguous letters, mostly centered about line 5265.

Now I've shown he saw the 8/25/1987 top.  I can't find any encoding that indicates the bottom of 10/20/1987.  That's a work in progress as I'll explain later.

2017.  This is the money shot.  I look back at my unblemished record of wrong calls.  To my credit, I've said, time and again, any prediction I make based on my research into TTTTA , absent mathematic confirmation, is purely subjective.  It isn't any better than any other person's or market "experts" evaluation; sometimes right, more often than not, wrong.  With that warning, here it is:

This one is not a walk away.  The letters "ATTH" in red are the primary focus.  Most of us talk about "all time high" and there have been many of those recently and in the last couple years.  "ATTH"...I'm interpreting "all time trading high."  The extra 't' bothers me a bit, but, hey, Mr. Gann's trading vernacular was likely much different from ours.  Maybe he was trying to be 21st century vogue in his terminology and, well, slipped with too many 't's.  Maybe ATTTH means the intraday high as opposed to the close.

But this 2017 top prediction is a little less certain than 1929 and 1987, perhaps the other words mitigate.  In green we have "NYSE."  In blue we have both the name "Tommy" and "Tom."  Who's the President of the NYSE?  Tom Farley.

In purple, might Tom Farley or might, in general, the investors in the NYSE have a "bad ego?"

Which all gives me a number of trading days in yellow which are  on the same lines as the red letters.  I'd have to say any of those days in yellow are credible based on the subjective content of the messages I've discussed.  But subjectivity is not all there is.  I'm going with October 13, 2017 as the great high for which the prognosticators are searching.  Providing me confidence I have two additional considerations; a weak consideration and a strong one.

The weak consideration; it will be "Friday the 13th."  How melodramatic.  I put 0 comfort in this superstition.  However, it is not simply the name of a $550K movie that grossed $20M.  Its origin is the infamous date, October 13, 1307, the importance of which is known to all Freemasons.  The Knights Templar, more than just a military group; the Order was an international banking and trade network during the 'dark ages.'  King Phillip IV of France was in great debt to the Templars and had many other reasons to distrust that multinational Order. On Friday the 13th of October 1307, the King's agents rounded up scores of Templars and tortured them to extract false confessions of sodomy, heresy and other acts.  Armed with those admissions, Phillip coerced Pope Clement V (odd, the same last name as WD Gann's non de plume Luo Clement) to issue an edict (Pastoralis Praeeminentiae) to all European Christian monarchs to arrest members of the Order and seize their assets.

The stronger consideration.  I consider this very strong.  Its the mathematic "three-deep path."  If you know how to navigate the MOT with the "three-deep path" there are only a couple of possibilities generated by the immediately foregoing excerpt to consider.  And of those possibilities, there is only one that I found that contains a message.  It is:

WD Gann signed his prediction with the name "wgann" which can be found and correlated with its origin only through the mathematics of the "three-deep path."

This is the closest 'circumstance' I've encountered in the last several years where mathematics may confirm a prediction that is found through encoded "messages."  Messages, as I've cautioned the reader, whether in plain text or encoded acrostics/telestics, are subjective.  Subjective messages have failed me time and again; without history as hindsight, understanding the meaning of a perceived message is impossible.  WD Gann said in unambiguous words that only mathematics provides objective truth:

All other science is not agreed upon.  Only math provides truth.

And it is a mathematic device that linked the message I perceive, that the much anticipated high will occur on Friday, October 13, 2017.  [A brief intraday high would be tolerated on Monday October 16.]

The three-deep path, simply adding and subtracting.  Do I recall Mr. Gann having said in one of his courses that prediction is as easy as adding and subtracting?  Something like that.

Let's see what happens.

NOTE:  The 1987 bottom.  I can't find a message that indicates he "saw" that 10/20/1987 bottom.  I expect there is a permutation of the 'three-deep path' that provides a message indicating he foresaw that date.  I've simply run out of time.  If I find that mathematic confirmation, needless to say, I'll write an essay.
