Measurement

Bear with me, I intend to circle back to WD Gann's "The Tunnel Thru the Air."

I fired my MD when I observed his staff observing my blood pressure.  After walking a mile to my doctor's office for my 8am (first appointment of the day), the nurse promptly brought me to the observation station took my weight (borderline normal/overweight), height and blood pressure.  And after a brief wait in the examining room the doctor was with me at 8:10.  Successful you might think; that I did not have to wait.  Wrong.

Measurement.  The staff of that "Medicare doctor," (I was not on Medicare, I'd selected him based entirely on reputation), and I call him such because he takes MC patients and for a point I'll make later, did it all wrong.  I'll not go back and reproduce my personal research, but the standard for blood pressure measurement was created decades ago based on a methodology that does not occur in the MD's office.  Its tragic.  In the establishing studies, the participant, not having exercised or eaten in the previous hour, was led into a comfortable, dimly lit room that was without distractions and allowed to sit and rest for 15 minutes.  Then, with arms resting at heart level on a table in front of them, feet flat on the floor and erect in a backed chair, the blood pressure was taken.  From that procedure came the metric of 120/80 or so (my best recollection).

That's a far cry from sitting in an armed chair, no table, with less than a couple minute's rest from walking from home into the observation point with bright light and staff walking around.  Measurement of blood pressure; with weight and height the starting point of classifying any patient's health.  Think of a diagnosis as a graphic tree of alternatives....the beginning of that tree from which differentials are elected, is weight, height and blood pressure.

There are other aspects of blood pressure measurement to consider.  For example "white coat syndrome, where many patient's blood pressure rises in the stressful situation of being in the doctor's office.  I confidently assume,  MDs are unaware of these defects in their own measurements.  And yet, they take them.  Perhaps its their need to make their sessions the insurance company and Medicare mandated 10 minute visit (or whatever the cost effectiveness standard might be) or perhaps its just the way its done everywhere; "best practices."

Everywhere?  So I replaced my doctor with another which my neighbors use.  He's non Medicare, out of pocket.  My first and last visit.  I walked the mile to his office and, disappointedly, got the 2 minute blood pressure routine, saw the doctor for a pleasant and informative one-hour background chat and blood draw, and walked back home.

I get a call a week later and the nurse gives me a prescription for a mild statin saying "Your LDL is high at 175 and we need to get it down to a more acceptable level.  And we need to increase your exercise level."  What the hell did she know about my exercise?  She presumed that my supposed high LDL (which under previous decades' standards was normal) would be improved by exercise.  Did she consider my 5 miles of personal walking every day?  Did she consider that, up until two years ago I'd been running "a 5k a day to keep the doctors away and stopped because of osteoarthritis pain?"  And then could run a 5k in 30 minutes?  A 62 year old running a 3.13 mile track in an average of less than 10 minutes?  Kenneth Cooper MD, celebrated author of a definitive 1970s study of exercise and health, "Aerobics," would, I believe, be ecstatic with my cardio vascular condition.  [FYI, my resting heart rate when running two years ago was 45 and is now mid 50s and I've never been informed of any EKG abnormality or audio notation of such.]

That nurse may have misdiagnosed my condition by starting with the diagnosis and wrongfully inferring the condition (lack of exercise was simply a false conclusion).  [I have a big problem with statin research but that's another diatribe, entirely.]

I fired the second doctor, not because of the above, but because I simply have a different philosophy on measurement and inference.  I intend on re entering the medical treatment world with a cheep'o (Medicare) youngster general practitioner at the nearby and well respected hospital (also a one-mile walk) only to have those same studies taken that I can consider....and have "access" when the inevitable of all of our lives does occur.  At that time, I'll let them do the best they can.

From TTTTA, following is one of eight meaningful commentaries you find by searching "measur_" and this one is page 59 from Ezekiel 43:4, 10:

Measure the pattern for sure.  Perhaps by "whose prospect is toward the east" means the sun which emerges from the east, e.g. days and years?  Perhaps "in the house of Israel" means the fate that befell Israel?

My main point in considering the process of "measurement" is associating what you "think" is happening (high blood pressure) with what is causing what you think is occurring.  If your measurement process or metric or variable is wrong, what's the probability the conclusion will be right?

Might Mr. Gann have instructed us on how to measure and what measurement to use?  So I searched TTTTA on "measur_," purposefully dropping the "e" so I could capture any instances of the noun, "measure" and the verb "measuring."  When I read each of the 8 "hits" on "measur_" I feel like I derive an upstanding of, at least, the metrics of measurement and the variables (cycles or repetition) Mr. Gann intended.

While studying blood pressure measurement today, I noted one comment that gave me a chuckle:

Fret not, I believe correctly measured high blood pressure (particularly night time "no-dip") indicates a problem and I agree with the lipid theory of CVD.  I do believe the doctors I fired were smart persons who were genuinely concerned for my health.  I don't agree measurements are being taken correctly nor are independent (causal) variables being properly measured and treated.  And from a bad diagnosis may come treatment worse than the ill.

While I can (as age diminishes), I will take charge of my health and my study.  I will trust the primary sources of knowledge and those who I believe have real knowledge.  Personally, I've selected WD Gann, not the many experts clinging to his record.  And...

First, do no harm.

  1. I was thinking about what I have seen here in your blog. You found a significant date on a tomb stone near Gann's grave. You found your name spelled out in TTTTA. I searched for mine. Not there. You found 9/11 in the map on the anniversary of 9/11. As I look at the numbers in the earthquakes we discussed, numbers seem to rule over all and appear where ever something significant happens. This is probably what is meant by being at the same vibration. Perhaps you should dig out Luo Clements book and run the numbers on your life. Then compare them to Gann's own numbers. Could be a surprise there.

    1. I've spent a lot of time comparing my name and birth date number to that of Mr. Gann's via Luo Clement's system (Pythagorean). They aren't the same but that isn't to say they are inharmonious. I need to pick up the thread again but I'm going to stay down the math road with interspersed study to find encoded clues. I don't know this to be true, but I believe Mr. Gann had the system of math worked out well before he discovered the correlation of the system to the birth number and name vibration. I think the latter discovery was the 1908 discovery and the Luo Clement book was the proximate result.

I keep coming back to the outer and inner circle and square comment. That it proves the fourth dimension is at work in the market. I conclude from that 1) that time was the fourth dimension, 2) that his system was based on physics and relativity that had at about the same time been announced by Einstein (1905 special relativity) and 3) the stock market was Mr. Gann's "proof" of his concepts.

Isn't imagination wonderful? You can build any story of what happened without proof.

Its funny about those acrostic/telestic messages. Encoding simple names (3 and 4 letters), like mine, are easy. Think of your name, just the first name Steve. Its 5 letters. Far harder to encode. Every letter extra is harder to encode in a way that is both not noticeable and, at the same time, unmistakeable. Go back and read how WDG encoded my street address Tottenham. Tot 10 ham. And then to make it unmistakeable, he spaced the syllables apart in a way that created a remarkable triangle. You name might well be there but not struggling with the possibility will result in your not discovering it if its true.

As you said. Could be a surprise there.

    2. I looked for my name a while ago. Wasn't nearly as proficient at it as practice has made me now. I found my name. First and last on line 3289 and 3281. Steve Hahn. Actually spelled as Stev Hahn. But since they are only 8 lines apart, that is quite a coincidence.

Thanks for suggesting a second look.

    3. I'm sure you read the narrative between those lines; the "remarkable events" that will follow the election of the 266th Pope. Now you need to read the latest essay and solve the riddle at its end.

    4. I've read that narrative many times. Now I'm going to go study Malachy and his number 266.

I think I see the answer to the riddle, very disturbing. I had hoped that his great predictions ended at 9/11. So much for sleeping well at night.

BTW it has been 84 years since his time of trouble in 1932. He mentions 1932 as a 1000 year cycle.

Final note, 88 is a number in TTTTA. He uses it as an element in one of his devices. Radium. It is number 88.

    5. The credible thought on Malachy is that he was a pen name for Nostradamus. That Nostradamus, in order not to be outed and condemned by the church, wrote the prophecies and planted them in the archives of the Vatican (I think) to be later discovered after St Malachi's death. After all, a dead man can't refute anything.

88, radium, incredible. 88 is the next permutation of the number 11 that you've mentioned several times in the context of 7X11.

As always, I go to page 88 and read...Robert Gordon's one of the greatest battles will be fought in the air. Obviously, airplanes. But less obviously, volcanic ash. Perhaps the misspelling of "the greaty City of Chicago" on page 320 isn't intended to be re spelled as "the great City of Chicago." Perhaps you drop the a and t instead of dropping the y.

I discovered the confirmation of my name exactly 88 years years from the date that appears next to my name on page 75. January 28, 1927 plus exactly 88 years is the date I found the "10" in Tot 10 Ham. Its in the 7th prophecy.

God does not roll dice.... as AE similarly but factiously said about a God he did not embrace.

    6. I live in Potomac Maryland. 88 years from the middle line of my name is this:

      Ax
      pk
      op
      te

      Date 6/28/1954

It isn't exact, but certainly interesting.
